PrepCheck® is a prep-marking system that promotes adequate reduction, so the final restoration gets its ideal thickness for superior strength and aesthetics. PrepCheck's special coating marks the tooth in areas that still need to be reduced, so you know exactly where to adjust before you take the impression.

How It Works
- Test – Insert the uncoated (darker) side between the prep and opposing teeth. Pull gently. If it slides out easily, clearance is adequate. If not, proceed to Step 2.
- Mark – Flip to the coated (lighter) side. Have the patient tap or grind. The marking powder transfers to exactly where further reduction is needed.
- Reduce & Verify – Reduce the marked areas. Re-check with Step 1. Repeat until the tab slides freely.
Which Thickness and Size Is Right for Me?
- 1.0mm (Pink) – Gold and all-metal crowns
- 1.5mm (Green) – Porcelain-fused-to-metal (PFM)
- 2.0mm (Blue) – All-ceramic, zirconia and CAD/CAM (most practices keep 2.0mm Blue as their standard)
Standard works for molars and most teeth. Mini is smaller, designed for bicuspids, lower incisors and maxillary laterals, and is available in 1.5mm and 2.0mm in boxes of 50.
