About the Product
Reusable titanium MulTipeg transducers for measuring implant stability (ISQ) with the Penguin RFA and Penguin RFA II.
The MulTipeg attaches to the implant (or abutment) and is excited by the Penguin instrument to measure resonance frequency, giving an objective ISQ reading of implant stability at placement, during healing and before loading. Made by Penguin Instruments, MulTipegs are titanium with a sealed magnet, so unlike single-use pegs they can be sterilized and reused, which lowers your cost per measurement.
Features
- Available for all major implant systems
- Durable, tissue-friendly titanium
- Sealed magnet in the top
- Autoclavable at least 20 times
- Laser marked with the MulTipeg type number

How to Order the Right MulTipeg
Select your implant manufacturer above, then choose the MulTipeg option that matches your implant line and platform. Penguin Instruments also offers a free "Find your MulTipeg" app (Apple App Store and Google Play) and an online finder on their website. If you're unsure which MulTipeg fits your implants, contact GoldenDent with your implant brand, line and platform and we'll confirm it for you before shipping.
Tips for Accurate Readings
- Finger-tight is enough: a published study (Pelegrine et al., Int J Oral Maxillofac Implants, 2020) found that about 5 Ncm is the minimum torque needed for accurate Penguin ISQ readings, which finger tightening with the MulTipeg Driver reaches.
- Measure the same way each time: ISQ values can differ when measured directly on the implant versus on an abutment, so use the same method for each follow-up reading to compare stability over time.
- Use the stainless steel MulTipeg Driver, which carries the MulTipeg magnetically and works like a screwdriver.
For use with the Penguin RFA implant stability meter, also available at GoldenDent.
