About the Product
Hollow-undersurface wedges that conform to root concavities. 5 color-coded sizes. Works with any matrix system. Invented by dentist Dr. John Garrison.
FlexiWedge® interproximal wedges are designed to actually fit the interproximal space. The flexible design adapts to anatomical irregularities, so you get maximum tooth separation and a superior cervical seal on Class II restorations. That helps close the gap between the mid-root concavity and the matrix band, reducing the risk of overhangs at the gingival floor.
- Hollow undersurface conforms to root concavities
- Seals out blood, saliva and crevicular fluid
- Flanges resist back-out
- Won't splinter or swell like wood
- Maximum tooth separation force
- Available in 5 color-coded sizes

How the Hollow Undersurface Works
The undersurface of each wedge is hollow rather than solid. When pressed into place, the sidewalls collapse and expand into root concavities, creating a better seal at the gingival margin than rigid wedges that fight the tooth's natural anatomy.
What Size Is Right for Me?
Seat the largest wedge that fits the embrasure — that is what drives the seal and back-out resistance.
- XS (Blue) – The tightest embrasures
- Small (Orange) – Between anterior and premolar contacts
- Medium (Green) – The mid-range workhorse
- Large (Purple) – Broad posterior embrasures
- XL (Red) – The largest posterior spaces

FlexiWedge vs. Wooden and Solid Plastic Wedges
Wooden and solid plastic wedges have a solid undersurface and give only a partial cervical seal, and wood can splinter or swell. FlexiWedge's hollow undersurface conforms to root concavities to keep blood, saliva and fluid out, and its flanges help it stay seated.
